Boise Post Easter

We were supposed to go to Boise for Easter, but Mikey had way too much to do for his Seminar.  We were able to get there for my birthday weekend instead.

I hadn't seen Lucy and Lola for awhile...I found them all dressed up and sitting in the closet.

Becky got me a DQ ice cream cake!!! I haven't had one of these in years.

This is Keyton and Lola's awesome dog Bear.  Avery and Aidan spent a lot of time playing with him in the backyard.

Lucy's Bake Sale

Lucy got to help with her school bake sale this year.  These girls were super serious about people paying the correct amount for their treats.

Making and Drawing With Lucy

Lucy loves to "make" (bake) more than probably anything.  She will stay in the kitchen with me for hours and is constantly asking if we can "make" together.

Lucy is also the cutest little artist.  This is one of her sweet little bumble bees.

Easter

Poor Avery woke up super sick on Easter.  I didn't realize that she was as sick as she was and thought she was just being really dramatic.  She came to church with us, but had to leave before it was over because she started running a fever.  Poor girl!

Dying Easter Eggs

Mikey's Famous Dinosaur Egg

Court Easter Egg Hunt

This year, a cute family in our court got up really early to find some really tricky hiding places for the Easter eggs.  Usually, they are just thrown all over the grass.  Our kids got to spend half an hour looking for Easter eggs because they were hidden so well.

Summer is Finally Coming...

...or at least spring

The Symphony with Kindermusik

Aidan's Kindermusik class went on a field trip to the Utah Symphony.  Before the concert, there was an instrument petting zoo where Avery, Aidan, and Lucy all got to try playing a harp.

Rock Skipping at the Provo River

One of our favorite Sunday destinations is the Provo River near Heber and Midway.  We love to go on walks by the river.  At one spot in the river, you can hop over to a little island where the kids love to try to skip rocks. 3/10/13

There is nothing better than finding a Big reading to a Little

St. Patrick's Day

The kids LOVE St. Patrick's Day.  They are always so excited to see what mischief they will wake up to in the morning.  That naughty little leprechaun!  We ran out of time for green pancakes for breakfast, so instead we ate them for dinner.  This year I colored the pancakes with spinach instead of food coloring and they were delicious.

Isn't this cupcake adorable?

I made cupcakes for the YW as a 100 Book of Mormon Challenge incentive.  They turned out delicious and lovely.

Little Lucy

I took this cute picture while co-oping at Lucy's school.  It was so fun to see her play imagination games with her little friends.

State Chess Tournament

Chess tournaments are so very long.  I only let the kids compete in one a year and they chose the big state tournament this year.  They don't really ever win, but they sure have fun participating in Chess Club.

Smuggled Erasers

On 3/5, Lucy came with me to help Aidan's class in the science lab.  She wanted to keep these erasers, but I told her that she couldn't because they weren't hers.  When we got to the car, I noticed these in her ears.  She did NOT get to keep them.

I am in love with this mountain

3/2 - This is the Place Train Ride

It is finally starting to warm up just a little.  We took advantage of the sunshine and went to ride the train at This is the Place park.

Bunny Ears

These crazy kids wore these ears everywhere during March until Easter.

Field Trip with Aidan to the Natural History Museum

On 2/22 I got to go with Aidan on his field trip to the Natural History Museum.  A big thank you to Mikey for skipping class so I could go.  Lucy was supposed to come with me, but threw up that morning.  Aidan had a lot of fun, especially with his friend Will.

Warm Enough for Red Butte

This winter was freezing and we constantly felt trapped inside.  On 2/18, the temperature got above freezing, so we headed up to Red Butte for a winter walk.
