Check it out. In the last week, I made these two creations. Yes, I realize this is highly uncharacteristic of me. Maybe I have been living in Utah too long. Who knows. First I made this cute little tutu for my cousin's little girl. Avery tried it on for me so I could see the finished product. Last night I made the little receiving blanket for a friend of mine that just had a baby. (She'll like it as long as she doesn't look too closely at the seams - I never claimed to actually know how to sew).

Church Clothes
Sunday morning I told Aidan to go put on his shoes for church...this is the pair he chose...unfortunately he couldn't quite get to the front door in them.Avery went the opposite way and said she was tired of winter and wanted to wear spring clothes...I gave in.

How Aidan rolls
Avery has always been quite the girly girl. Since she was two she has loved dress ups. We have been amazed that Aidan has NEVER tried to put on her dress ups. Sure, a few times he has clopped around in her dress up shoes, but never has he tried on a dress, skirt, crown, etc. On occasion when Avery plays dress up, Aidan gets a cowboy hat and puts on his snow boots or asks us to tie a cape on him so he can be a super hero.
The other day I found Aidan dressed like this:
Tools, brown oxfords, baseball hat, and a crayon behind his right ear. He would only answer you if you called him Handy Manny.
I had to include this fun picture. The other day Aidan was pretending "his eyes fall off." He wanted me to take a picture so he could see what he looked like without his eyeballs. I love that kid.

Valentine's Day
This is SUPPOSED to look like a heart shaped pizza...quite the rip off when all they do is cut a small piece out of the top of a round pizza, thus giving you less pizza for the same price. Our Valentine festivities began with this pizza on Friday night. My cousin's cute kids came over and the kids had quite the little party.Saturday morning the kids and Mikey woke up to their doors covered in hearts. What a hit...Aidan still won't take his down!
We all exchanged Valentines...
...and enjoyed a little breakfast.
It was snowing so we headed out for some fun.
We came in from the cold to drink hot chocolate and play Chutes and Ladders. Later in the afternoon, the kids went to my cousin's so Mikey and I could go out on our date. We went to dinner and a movie - I can't tell you how long it has been since we went to a movie together! What a great day - I wish Valentine's Day was always on a Saturday.
