Yesterday was a big day for little Avs. She went to the dentist for the first time. Her appointment followed mine, but I guess after watching someone clean my teeth she decided she "didn't want that dentist to look in her mouth." After a quick bribe with a groom doll to go with her wedding barbie doll (she has been trying to earn it forever), she hesitantly got her teeth cleaned. What a brave girl! After lunch, she learned how to master writing the lowercase e. This is a big breakthrough for her since she always writes her name with a capital E saying "sorry, I don't know how to write it the other way." Guess she is ready for kindergarden now...unfortunately she doesn't start for over two more years. Finally, she had her dance recital last night. She was awesome and we were very impressed (especially with her shimmy...). Her class (3 yr olds) stole the show.

I can't even shimmy. Yeah for Avery.
It's true. Emy can't shimmy. She just moves her arms back and forth like a bear trying to scratch its back against a tree.
Aves...way to straight up work your mother like I taught you. The key is to deny her the essentials, like a well behaved teeth cleaning, until you get the mad hook ups. Uncle Jeff's teaching prevail!
