So Avery decided to give herself a little haircut this week. I found a nice little pile of hair in the trash and then pulled out a large clump still lying on her head (the picture is of this clump). I asked her why she did it and she said she wasn't feeling very beautiful that day and thought a haircut might help. Luckily I can give her a nice comb-over and hide the damage (mostly spikies on the top and side of her head). She didn't feel much remorse, so I told her we would have to go get her hair cut short now and that she would look like a boy. I told her people would come up to her now and tell her what a little handsome prince she was. She started bawling and said, "but I want to be Cinderella." Am I am mean mom or what? I felt kind of bad about making her cry, but I don't think she will be cutting her hair again anytime soon.
