I Love My Garden

After neglecting the garden for only 2 days, I found all these vegetables today. I am amazing at the life that continually springs forth from my little plants. One of the life lessons I am learning is that things that once seemed overwhelming to me (i.e. gardening, canning, etc) require only a little effort and time to become familiar; the results tend to be satisfying and fulfilling. Harvesting vegetables from the garden and creating healthy meals for my family from them is incredibly rewarding. I am ecstatic that I took a little leap and tried something new (new things often = apprehension for me), hopefully discovering a lifelong hobby that benefits my entire family.

You should write a quote book with all your little nuggets of wisdom! Whenever it seems like I start to get things under control, things usually change...meaning I find out I'm pregnant. You might want to go pee on one of those little sticks because it sounds like you are on top of things right now, gardening, canning, teaching pre-school. Uh oh!!! :)
