On March 26, we headed out to NC for our yearly trip. Day 1 - the airplane trip. Day 2 - recovery day...I don't think we did much this day, but we did go to visit Nana and to the Moravian cookie factory - both essentials while in NC. Day 3 (Friday) - Drove to Charleston, SC. Charleston has to be the most beautiful city ever. Day 4 - went to Battery Park, shopped the Market, and went to Waterfront Park (waiting for pictures of Waterfront from my family). At Waterfront Park we went to sit on a pier. As we were sitting, you could see dolphins swimming. There was also a cool city art museum in the middle of the park that we got to visit. The day ended with a visit to the beach. Lets just say our kids LOVE the beach even when it is super windy, cold, and rainy. It was also Grandpa's birthday, so we ate cake at the hotel.Day 5 (Sunday) - boat ride around the harbor where we got to see many more dolphins, lunch at a waterfront seafood place, and a trip back to the beach. Day 6 - drove back to NC.
Day 7 - took the kids to Tanglewood to see the horses. Aidan says he now not only wants a big black dog named Lucky, but also a brown horse named buddy. Keep dreaming. We then all went to lunch at K & W with Nana...one of my favorite childhood memories. My mom made apple crisp for dessert. Yum. Day 8 - shopping with Nana followed by a trip to Dewey's for some pink lemonade cake...we never visit NC without a stop there!
Day 9 - flying home. Nothing beats being stuck on the runway at ATL with 40+ flights in front of you for take off -- we were only on that plane for 6.5 hours. Grrr. Fortunately Aidan took a nap and Avery watched the little tv in front of her. Unfortunately, the ride was super bumpy and the kids sitting behind us got airsick multiple times. NOT a fun way to end such a fun trip.
Picture disclaimer: our pictures all came out blurry and glowing. I don't know if our camera is broken, or if this was caused by the sticky Aidan finger print I just found covering the lens. Also, for those of you NOT believing I am actually pregnant, I did include several large pictures of myself for proof. FYI - I am scheduled to be induced May 21!

How fun!! I'd love to go see some of the places you saw- I have never been down to that area of the U.S.
I laugh because I looked at the picture of you and I wondered if you really were pregnant. You hardly look it! :) That is crazy you already have an induction date!
And you need to expound on the change is coming post!!!!!!
I really like Avery's haircut.
I wish I knew you were three hours away from me!!! I would have tried to get down to see you. :) I'm sure you didn't have much time, but if you ever do have some spare time on one of you visits, I would love to see you.
First of all...you look fabulous. Where are you hiding that baby?? Second, what a fabulous vacation! I'm jealous.
