What's one of the great things about living in Utah? July 24th is Pioneer Day! I love holidays! This year we went up Big Cottonwood Canyon to go hiking. We hiked three miles round trip to Lake Solitude (not so much a lake) and then walked around Silver Lake. The hikes were beautiful. Avery hiked the ENTIRE way. Aidan made it for 2 miles and then his little body gave out...he couldn't take another step and kept falling asleep in our arms as we carried him. What little troopers! We ended the day with faux-grilled hot dogs (our grill won't start!) with Gramma Becky and Emily. Another great family day!

I love Big Cottonwood. I miss our families cabin - don't you? At least we'll always have Til Death.
