Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment...keep in mind that my previous appointment was exactly two weeks ago. The little assistant had me stand on the scale. I heard her say "hmmm" several times. She then asked me to step off of the scale because she was convinced the scale must be off. Audible gasp followed by, "hmm, I really thought that number COULDN'T be right, but it looks like it is!" I didn't look up to see what the scale read (sometimes denial is a better place to be, right?) Apparently in a two week time period, I became a blimp...and you wonder why I don't have any pictures of me pregnant...

I can't believe how rude some people are when you're pregnant. I wouldn've thought a MA at a OB's office would be a little nicer. I always gain the most in my 7th or 8th month and usually have to redo the diabetes test. Nice huh.
Apparantly 'bedside manner' is an option course at nursing school... Also may I say I'm glad to see that Tom & Emily are sharing pregnancy experience with you guys. Ha!
Brian: my cousin Emily and her husband Tom, not Mikey's bro and sister...funny though.
WE WANT TO SEE PICTURES!! For all I know little Lucy is a hoax and you're not really pregnant at all.
That's crazy! I NEVER look at the scale either--although I can always hear the nurse move the 50 lb. weight over in stereo! I hate how the nurses size you up with their eyes and then set the 50 pounder--once their best guess for me started at over 200! And when she moved it back, it was with a "tsk" of disbelief.
Hope things are going well for all your cute family! Congrats on having another girl! BTW, love that name, especially the Jane part! :)
Have pride in the chub. Don't deny the world.
