My Kids Won't Let Me Be The Fool...

Let's just face it - I was a much cuter mom a few years back. Several years ago, I fixed an April Fool's dinner for the kids and they absolutely loved it. In fact, they loved it so much that they specifically request a repeat of the exact meal every year. SO, when April 1st came along this year, Avery kindly reminded me of what we were supposed to have for dinner that night. I made a last minute trip to the store with the kids and preceded to make the traditional dinner (sans the trick drinks made with jello and a straw - seriously, Jello is nasty). As I hurried to make the meatloaf "cake", I forgot to add milk. I even got it out of the fridge and still forgot to add it. Meatloaf at its best struggles, but without the milk, we did not save the leftovers. I am glad that the kids have helped me create a plethora of traditions; if they didn't push me along, poor little Lucy would miss out on everything!

Oh my gosh...I LOVE meatloaf! Jeff thinks I'm crazy, but I laughed so hard when you said meatloaf struggles anyway but you didn't have leftovers. You're crazy!
