April Fools

For April Fools, we enjoyed a funny dinner. I made meatloaf in a cake pan and "iced" it with mashed potatoes. To drink, I made Jello in cups and put straws in them. This was definitely the best part - Avery's reaction was "my koolaid won't come out of the straw!" and Aidan kept saying "its bwoken". Avery thought it was a funny trick and was even more excited to find out that it was really Jello - we NEVER have Jello (which is a strange thing since we live in Utah). We did have steamed broccoli - less exciting, but essential for nutrition. For dessert we had dirt cups. Avery tried to trick her daddy by saying he was going to have to eat dirt. He told her (jokingly) that she couldn't have her dirt cup because we don't eat dirt. She ran off crying to her room because she was so disappointed. Mikey went and told her he was kidding and she bounced right back. It was a fun night.
