I had a great birthday this year...I am a little late posting because of the crazy week we have had. It began by my sister coming up to spend the day. While I was getting ready, she played with the kids and taught them how to make spaghetti out of play-dough. This is their new favorite thing to do.
Next, we headed to the Gateway where Mikey met us. Whitney took the kids to the planetarium to play while Mikey and I had a nice lunch by ourselves. How fun! After lunch, Mikey went back to work while I met back up with everyone at the planetarium. Whitney introduced the kids to space ice cream. They were very impressed. We then headed up to Barnes and Nobles. On the way, Avery played in the fountains for a minute. Aidan, a rather cautious child, preferred to stay in the stroller and watch. At the book store, Whitney read books to Avery while Aidan found cool toys and I found more kids books for our collection.
For dinner, we ordered take out from the Mandarin (our favorite Chinese restaurant). Dinner was followed by my traditional DQ ice cream cake. YUMMY. Mikey and the kids got me a yoga mat and DVD. Can't wait to try it out! To finish off a great day, we picked up my mom from the airport at 11pm. She arrived home just in time to tell my happy birthday!

Happy late birthday! Sounds like a really fun day. Those children's books are the death of me. I want to buy them all. Brings back memories of reading the children's books on 4th floor HBLL. That was a fun place to shelve.
