Grandma Raine came back to Utah on Monday night. This is her second trip here this month. Unfortunately my cousin and her baby passed away on April 1 and my Grandpa Steed passed away on April 12.
We spent this week driving back and forth to Orem and Provo for the viewing, funeral, and to meet up with family. Although my mom was here for a sad reason, we were able to enjoy her visit and have a fun time. We didn't manage to take many pictures. I did take this one of the kids enjoying the doughnuts grandma brought. She always gets them sprinkle Krispie Kreme doughnuts when she comes.
The funeral was very nice. It was sad to say goodbye, but nice to remember all the wonderful things about Grandpa. I will miss his laugh and great sense of humor the most! I was glad to see how at peace his body looked now that he is no longer in pain. I am grateful that I had such a great man as my grandfather.
After the three funerals we have had within our family during the last two months, I am more grateful than ever that life continues after death and that our families will be together forever. What a wonderful blessing! It is comforting to know that we are only saying goodbye for a short time, although those that pass before us will be greatly missed.

I am soo sorry about all of your sad losses lately. Aren't we so blessed to have an eternal perspective?
P.S. Happy Birthday, I TOTALLY forgot that our birthdays are on the SAME day!
P.P.S. I love that Aiden is keepin' it real with the old skool rap!
Apparently, your cousin Dave is my brother's brother-in law (They married sisters). I saw him and his wife, Natalie, right after your grandpa's funeral.
I'm really sorry about the rough times your family is having.
I'm sorry! It is so sad to not have that relationship in your life when someone dies. It is so nice to know we will see our loved ones again.
