The next day, we headed up to LA. I have never been star struck, but for some reason, I have always wanted to see that Hollywood sign. This is as close as they let you get these days. We drove through Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, and saw landmarks like the Grauman Chinese Theater, Kodak Theater, and the star walk. I always imagined Hollywood being bigger and grander. It seemed like a trendy, artsy, little town with a lot of people smashed inside.
Walt Disney's star seemed appropriate to take a picture of to correspond with our trip. Can you believe John Tesh has a star? HA HA HA.
Next was a stop at the American Girl store. I don't know if Avery was more excited, or if I was. We ate at the cafe and it was absolutely adorable. Check out Aidan enduring it - he did like his food and got a stuffed sea turtle (his obsession) from Pottery Barn to make him feel cool too. Definitely another great day...

You're totally right about Hollywood being a tiny, artsy, trendy little town! In high school, we used to drive up there on Saturdays to look at the "vintage" (aka overpriced thrift shop) clothes. I always felt like I needed a shower when I got home. It's still cool to see all the stars and iconic parts of Hollywood, though.
